Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn is an American film television and theatre actress. Thespian Jeanne Marie Triplehorn has been professionally employed over the last 27 years. In 1990, she performed her debut on stage in Off-Broadway production in The Big Funk written by John Patrick Shanley. For The Perfect Tribute, she got her first part on TV a year later. In 1992 she got her breakthrough when she played as an additional character in the movie Basic Instinct. In the film The Firm however that she was cast as the leading female character for the very first time and that too opposite famous actors such as Tom Cruise and Gene Hackman. She worked in the 90s with many top actors in Hollywood, such as Gwyneth paltrow and Hugh Grant. Recently she played Dr Alex Blake in the internationally well-known crime procedural Criminal Minds.
